The Lunar Collection
The Lunar Collection is a year-long exploration of the twelve full moons, using painting to trace subtle shifts in light, colour and seasonal rhythm. Each work marks a point within the wider cycle of the year — a way of mapping time through repetition, variation and return.
Across the series, luminous rings, gestural marks and layered surfaces respond to the changing atmosphere of each moon. Some works hold a sense of clarity and expansion, while others move toward reduction and quietness, allowing colour and surface to carry the emotional register of the season.
Bringing together large-scale canvases and smaller studies, the collection treats the lunar cycle less as subject matter and more as structure — a framework through which landscape, memory and perception are explored over time.

Cold Moon sits at the quietest point of the lunar cycle, where light feels distant and the landscape withdraws into itself. The painting explores this moment of reduction, when colour cools, movement slows, and space becomes more internal than expansive.
Layers of muted tone are built and partially veiled, allowing traces of earlier marks to remain visible beneath the surface. Rather than describing winter directly, the work reflects a state of suspension, a pause before the cycle begins to turn again.
